Girard is a town in Burke County, Georgia, United States. The population was 184 in 2020. It is part of the Augusta, Georgia metropolitan area.

History

Girard was incorporated in 1902.[4]

Girard is located at 33°2′28″N 81°42′40″W / 33.04111°N 81.71111°W / 33.04111; -81.71111 (33.040994, -81.711108).[5]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.2 square miles (8.3 km2), of which 3.2 square miles (8.2 km2) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2), or 1.20%, is water.[6]

Girard is located near the South Carolina state line on State Highway 23.
