GA reassessment?

[edit]

With all the dead links I think that, unfortunately, Let Go is no longer GA status. I'm not 100% sure about this but I'm pretty sure dead links are baaaaaaad. So what do you think? Should I put it in for a reassessment? Zylo1994 (talk) 19:04, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll give it 'til tomorrow. If nobody comments then I'll put in for a reassessment; it can't hurt, right? Zylo1994 (talk) 19:13, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Definitely can't hurt any... I'm lost when it comes to qualifications for GA, FA, etc. So I leave all that up to you guys. =D What's the worst that can happen? The person assessing the article says it's not up to GA status, and gives a list of reasons why--fix the reasons and there ya go! ~ [ Scott M. Howard ] ~ [ Talk ]:[ Contribs ] ~ 22:30, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay I think I've put it in for a reassessment now... Zylo1994 (talk) 13:35, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Have I reassessed this correctly? Do we just sit and wait now? Zylo1994 (talk) 11:28, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

GA Reassessment

[edit]
This discussion is transcluded from Talk:Let Go (Avril Lavigne album)/GA2. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the reassessment.

I think that the Let Go album article no longer meets GA standards because it has many dead-links. Zylo1994 (talk) 13:34, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

B-Side + Bring It On

[edit]

Off topic, but I own the album. And I was wondering, are any of the b-sides on the album? (Like, do I have to turn the album over in my stereo to play them? I haven't done that yet, because no one's told me, plus, I don't want to damage my ever beautiful copy of the greatest pop album...lol that wasn't sarcasm) P.S.-In Bring it On (The one with Rihanna and Hayden Pantinerre-Spelling is off, sorry...._.') I remember hearing Nobody's Fool and My Happy Ending. :D 66.60.210.32 (talk) 09:01, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pop punk?

[edit]

Ok i see there are references for pop punk, but other than Sk8er Boi, is there any other real pop punk song on the whole album? seriusly? pop punk is paramore, hey monday, blink 182" green day, fall out boy...other than the afformentioned track, can the WHOLE album be described as pop punk? i think not, i KNOW not, is the overall attitude of the album punkish? yes, of course, did avril lavigne have a punk inspired look at the time of the album? yes, of course, other than Sk8er Boi, is there any other track with such a fast paced tempo and frequent drum solos? no, pop punk is ONE song in the album, the rest can be classified as alternative rock or pop rock or teen pop, because those three are the main genres of the album. pop punk is one song and even post grunge is just a few songs. A genre should describe the WHOLE album, the majority of the songs in the album, not just one or a few, it should describe most of them, and pop punk doesnt describe most of them, the pop punk genre should be mention in the composition section (or wherever else you put all the genres) because it is used to describe a part the album, but that genre doesnt describe the album as a whole. Anyone who listens to pop punk and have listened to the whole album will agree with me. Remember that just because the genre has a reference it doesnt mean that it should be used or that its reliable. pop punk is The Best Damn Thing, not Let Go, if anyone doesnt agree, then just discuss it here PLEASE and thank you 24.227.9.114 (talk) 16:16, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen your post now but I replaced the pop punk reference which was there again with rock a few days before. Dkisnis (talk) 17:29, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Singles section

[edit]

The singles section uses an incredibly dated list format, and would be more cohesive if it was rewritten (in prose format preferably) entirely. Otherwise, I think this article is pretty good. --Aleccat 20:03, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
