Zero Hour

[edit]

Didn't Kon-El use a Phantom Zone-like dimension to save Lar Gand's life shortly after Zero Hour (and right before his first meeting with the post-ZH LSH)? Luis Dantas 01:54, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes

Did Superboy-Prime really punch his way out of the Zone? I don't think he was in the phantom zone. He was in an undescribed paradise dimension. --AlGorup 04:22, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He started off in the paradise dimension. When he was fighting the JSA, Teen Titans, and Doom Patrol, Speed shot him with a Phantom Zone arrow. He was trapped there for a few minutes before breaking out. It showed up like the 2 dimensional square like in the movies. - DrBravo2 01:31, 20 December 2006

Separate dimension

[edit]

Is the Phantom Zone a wholely separate dimension from Earth-2, Earth-1, Post-Crisis Earth, etc ..? in other words, is it part of the cross dimensional merger? If it wasn't, could it (hypothetically) contain any of the Earth-1 dimensional Kryptonian villians and release them on the new Earth?

Another way of thinking of it is the Phantom Zone a subset of a given universe? Or is it a dimension outside of the known Earth-1 -> 52 universes. (i.e. Is there an Eath-1 Phantom Zone and Earth-2 Phantom Zone, or just one BIG phantom zone?) AlGorup (talk) 15:30, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Batman in the Phantom Zone?

[edit]

I could have sworn Batman organized the JLA against the Martian who thought he was Bruce Wayne. Batman wasn't in the Phantom Zone, was he?

Just a comment on the Superman films not using the term Phantom Zone. On the DVD for Superman II, at approximately the 45 minute mark(The scene where Luthor and Ms. Teschmacher are listening to Superman's mother describe the darkest moment in their history) Lara says, and I'm paraphrasing "that despite all our efforts to change their evil thought their evil ways we could not change them...so our scientist created the Phantom Zone, imprisoning them their for all eternity." She had also said that there were three criminals that were imprisoned, so I think that that would counter the statement that the Phantom Zone is not said in any of the Superman movies. --Profharoldhill 04:11, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry meant for this to be a separate topic. --Profharoldhill 04:13, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

editing

[edit]

this article is not very well written. there are many confusing passages with verbless, run on sentences and repetitive information. one sentence begins "the only exception" but does not say exception to WHAT. if it is an exception to the idea that the phantom zone holds only criminals, why does the next paragraph mention yet another non-criminal prisoner?

I fixed a weird sentence about the destruction of krypton's moon but any further editing is just too overwhelming.
