Question

[edit]

If someone knows, has or can find a free to use image of Amasya that is available then please upload it and link it to this article. I frankly dont understand how do to so yet, or rather what precisely is usable and what not. Isthatyou 15:59, 26 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Qilic Arslan

[edit]

Could a knowledgable person make the link for "Seljuk ruler Qilic Arslan" from the list at Seljuk Turks? Thanks. --Wetman 20:05, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Check out Kilij Arslan BalthaZar 10/02/07

The article on Amasia as a titular see was created by transcription without attribution from the Catholic Encyclopedia, 1913. While that work is now in the public domain, the fact of plagiarism persists. I have incorporated into this article all the material from the other that wasn't already included, plus some more (properly attributed). The other article is now redundant and still morally objectionable, and I think it should be reduced to a redirect. J S Ayer (talk) 15:08, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

All right, I failed to notice that the article had the acknowledgment of the Catholic Encyclopedia, and I should not have said it is morally objectionable. However, it is still redundant. J S Ayer (talk) 01:01, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The introduction reads something like what I might find in a travel guide, particularly the bits like "secret beauty", "traditional Yalıboyu houses started to use as cafe, bar, restaurant, pub, hotel etc.", "feels like an open-air museum". It's not very neutral or encyclopaedic, but the ideas could possibly be reworked into something much more neutral and so I don't want to remove them outright. 70.190.51.10 (talk) 10:22, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bishopric

[edit]

Some adjustments are necessary in ecclesiastical history section. For example the Orthodox bishopric was active until 1921.Alexikoua (talk) 13:17, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
