Talk:Sexist parenting

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Former American boxing champion Muhammad Ali was once asked by an interviewer how many children he fathered. He then answered: 'One boy and seven mistakes.' (one son and abort seven female fetuses that would have been daughters to him)."

Has anyone verified this quote? I did a Google search on it and came up with far too few hits (less than ten) to make me feel comfortable trusting it, none of them linking to verifiable sources.

I also found the version "...and seven errors". --Karups2 19:18, 5 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Title

[edit]

I think the title is inappropriate. To me, "sexist parenting" means things like giving daughters Barbies and sons toy trucks. Also, should somehow merge in with sex-selective abortion and sex-selective infanticide. Rosemary Amey 08:06, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Completely agree. --Smack 22:16, 30 Jul 2004 (UTC)
