Welcome!

Hello, Dumbledore, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  Carrp | Talk 03:23, 9 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Hi there!, I was browsing around the English language page and found you created a chart!, great work, however can I ask that you please edit it a little bit?, in the description you state "Distribution of native English speakers by country" and then point out "America"; America is not a country but a continent that encompasses many countries including the USA, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Venezuela, Brasil, Argentina, etc. Can you please edit it and note "USA" or "United States of America"? Thank you! and keep up the good work around here ;)DamianFinol

I saw the change, thank you! :) DamianFinol 22:44, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pan-European identity

[edit]

A peer review will usually - not always - attract more editors, see Wikipedia:Peer_review. I suggest you add this tag, it goes on the Talk Page not on the article page.Paul111 10:29, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Paul111 has disappeared from Wikipedia. Do you have any idea why this article was renamed without consent? Rdeman (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:14, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

EU vote

[edit]

Hi Dumbledore, I noticed your EU interests. Currently we have a vote for keeping many relevant images in the sections. Would be great to see you voting and commentating there. This is the version to be discussed [1]]. all the best Lear 21 04:46, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:AI logo 2008.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:AI logo 2008.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. A tag has been placed on IDP Education Australia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
