I have just heard news that Lionel Rose has passed away. He was a great Australian, and greatly respected as humble and reserved. I don't know if absence of image / photo is out of respect for Aborigine custom. I guess so. Wikipedia respects the traditions and customs of people worldwide. Very sad news indeed. The absence of a photo is more likely to be that a free one is not available. Most published during his career will be under some copyright. Moondyne (talk) 03:49, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Middle name: Edward or Edmund?

[edit]

7.5 million ghits for "Lionel Edward Rose" vs. 6.9 million for "Lionel Edmund Rose". We need an authoritative document to settle this. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 00:51, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
