a search for "elimination" should point directly to the "elimination reaction" (the organic chemistry reaction) since that is what people are most likely looking for and it is more "encyclopedic". i'm fairly new to Wikipedia so I'm not sure how to make this switch, or if its possible, but i'm definitely for it. Merge

[edit]

This article should be drastically shortened and merged into a section of Assassin (game), which discusses all kinds of Assassins-related and -derived games. --Quuxplusone 22:09, 10 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  •    Hey, you're right, they're the same. I was waiting for someone to discover this game and say, "hey, i play that game under a different name." If it's played different ways, then sure, it can be trimmed a lot...
  • ... maybe turn this page into a redirect to Elimination reaction as per Bubbachuck's observation, and on that page, point a disambiguation link as another name for Assassin (game), and on that page, fill in various things from this article. shuffdog 06:15, July 19, 2005 (UTC)

is there an official way to 'merge' this article?

[edit]

someone get back to me on this. I have augmented Assassin (game) with the relevant Elimination information. Is this all that is necessary? Might this article now just be deleted, turned into a redirect? I feel like i am doing this unilaterally, but i feel like i can, since i wrote almost 100% of this article anyway. Feedback please.

I would make Elimination a disambiguition page with links to Assassin (game), elimination reaction, and probably several others in the future. 'Elimination' is a pretty general word. Cacycle 15:56, 26 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
