[edit]Maybe this article should link to Network flow? All of the formal definitions given here are explained more thoroughly there. -- Nils Grimsmo 11:00, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
- It should definitely be merged with network flow. As defined here it is the same. I've gone ahead and merged them. Zettaphone (talk) 20:47, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
I'm a bit worried that I haven't cited sources properly here. These are from notes I took in a class at Virginia Tech, with Dr. Letzter. I'm going to ask someone about the rules for citing sources. --Aciel 19:41, 8 May 2005 (UTC)
Transport / Transportation network
[edit]The difference between transport / transportation is mainly linguistic: transport is British English, transportation is US English. In my experience, transportation network in general usage tends to be exactly the same as a transport network: a road / rail / air network (in fact I hadn't heard it used for communication networks). Should we simply have transport network (graph theory) to be consistent? --User:stochata 17:57, 9 May 2005 (UTC)
That's a good point. I'm not really sure how to answer that. I'm not really experienced enough in mathematics to be able to tell whether anyone calls it a transport network or not, anywhere... I don't really know who to ask, either. Do you? --Aciel 02:05, 10 May 2005 (UTC)
