From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fereydoon Zandi was Team Melli's star in the game against the Republic of Azerbaijan, as he scored a beautiful goal and once hit the opponent's post.

About the game, Zandi commented that the TM needed such a game before facing the North Koreans. The Kaiserslautern playmaker believes TM performed well in the first half and should have scored four goals in that half. However, in his opinion TM did not play as well in the second half and unreasonably pulled back.

Zandi added, that now he is in line with the rest of team and that he will even get better. "As I promised earlier, I dedicate this goal to my mother and father, and will even try to score more goals in the upcoming two games."

he is with kurdish roots!
