at Leicester the History section skims past Roman Leicester. I am adding this text there, but a brief synopsis of what has been recovered from Roman Leicester might make a good paragraph there. Wetman 23:07, 20 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Merger with Jewry Wall Museum

[edit]

I'm about to revert the undiscussed merger by Rushton2010 of Jewry Wall with Jewry Wall Museum. The two entities are quite distinct, and deserve separate articles. The museum is far more than a "museum of the ruin": it's a museum of Leicester's pre-modern archaeology (prehistoric to medieval), which happens to be located next to the ruin, and is an important cultural institution in its own right. It's a shame that no-one has yet done much work to expand the museum article beyond stub status, but that's only a matter of time: the material is there.
