Victoria Peak Tram

[edit]

Do you think that we should include any information about the Victoria Peak Tram? It is a special kind of tram that tourists are most likely to reach, so including them may help people understand more

A sentence mentioning them and possibly a link to the Victoria Peak article might do the trick. Whatever you do, minimising duplication of information on the Wikipedia is generally a good thing. --Robert Merkel 02:25 17 Jul 2003 (UTC)

Double-decker

[edit]

"Hong Kong Tramways" is one of the two tramways in the world which provides normal operation of the double-decker trams.

Which is the other? - Patrick 01:57 15 Jul 2003 (UTC)
Possibly Blackpool, England. They run both single decker and double decker trams on their tracks. Popsracer 02:59 15 Jul 2003 (UTC)
Make that Blackpool Tramway, but Alexandria tramways is another. So that would change the statement to "is one of the three tramways" Peter Horn User talk 01:53, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Use the wording one of the Tramway and drop the word "three". Without citation to verify how many double decked tramway in the world. It is OR to count by ourselves, as it is a classical Black swan theory. The statement is easily rebutted by finding the fourth . It need a very detailed research by expert on every tramway of the world in every city. Matthew hk (talk) 11:23, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Make that Alexandria tramways (typo). I myself have found Trams in India#Mumbai and Dubai Tram and two, or so, others are mentioned in double-decker tram. Peter Horn User talk 15:08, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Others may be found here but none of those appear to be in current use. Peter Horn User talk 17:17, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Peter Horn: It is unreliable and original research to use wikipedia article to conclude real world situation. Matthew hk (talk) 13:46, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Matthew hk: Where, and how, else would one start and then use the external links? Peter Horn User talk 14:03, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Tram stops

[edit]

Is there any information on the location (and perhaps the names) of the tram stops? I've tried to look up on the company website but there wasn't any. — Instantnood 18:34, May 1, 2005 (UTC)

#168

[edit]

Has anybody got a picture of the new trams 168, 169 or 170? — Instantnood 20:41, September 9, 2005 (UTC)

What about tram #70?

[edit]

This article states that tram #120 is the only tram in the fleet that has retained its 1950s style. This 'fact' can be found all over the internet. I rode on #70 this morning which, to my eye, looks identical to #120. I hesitate to change the page in case I'm missing something.

Fair use rationale for Image:TramStop.jpg

[edit]

Image:TramStop.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Dimensions

[edit]

Hong Kong Tramways#Fleet What are the dimensions, such as width, etc? Peter Horn User talk 01:47, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Well, i guess may be there is some Chinese language book in Hong Kong to have that information . And that book can be added as citation. However, WP:WPHK is dead project, may be i leave a message in zh-wiki to ask for help. (I am currently not in HK, not going to order a book for this).
