Conservative - populist?
[edit]What do we know about this party beyond that it promoted social credit? Just because the conservative - populist label fits some of the other Socred parties, that doesn't mean that it fits this one. Social crediters are are pretty varied bunch -- see John Turmel, for example. He does not fit the "conservative" label at all. At one point, he was claiming to be in control of the party. Many other Canadian social crediters came from the left wing of the political spectrum, at least in the early days. The New Zealand Social Credit Party remains on the centre-left of the spectrum to this day in its new incarnation as the Democrats. Kevintoronto 16:00, 10 Feb 2005 (UTC)
