Yeah, the genre here reads Indie Rock, but right below that it says that they're on a major label. Hardly indie. In fact, the exact opposite of indie.

Indie rock as a genre isn't really defined by label type anymore. Just like the term "alternative", it's been absorbed to reflect a general sound. That's why we have separate articles on Indie rock and Indie (music). —Torc. (Talk.) 08:38, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
