I notice another citation of 600 was added, I combined that with the other citation and put it up front. I hope to add details regarding other reported damages in a few minutes. I think it's time to put to bed the exaggerations of an estimated death toll, despite the fact that a reporter by the name of Ellen Nakashima sold a few articles on the basis of this assumption today.

Although it seems inappropriate by some, I think some background info regarding he opacity of information coming from Myanmar may be required here to quell certain urges by supporters of a free press. I, too, support a free press, but do not support misinformation and politically motivated manipulations of data, even when they're coming from the home team. Zosodada 23:03, 5 Jan 2005 (UTC)
