Acorn from this oak?
[edit]I believe that one of the acorns from the Charter Oak spurred a tree that now is thriving in Fairfield, CT.
Captain Joseph Wadsworth
[edit]How can this article not actually name Captain Joseph Wadsworth? I'm no expert, but wasn't the the American hero of the whole incident? Filiocht 11:26, Jan 28, 2005 (UTC)
Fate of the tree?
[edit]The article does not say anything about what happened to the Charter Oak. I believe it was hit by lightning and destroyed, but I could be wrong. I know it was destroyed in the 1800's — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.4.69.92 (talk) 23:23, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
