puzzling reference error

I made this edit to organize the footnotes (same style) & am now seeing a "Cite error: A list-defined reference named "Donovan" is not used in the content (see the help page)."

It's strange because this only appears to be happening with the Donovan citation (with the "salary2" footnote), and not the Korecki/Burnett cites )within the "salary" footnote). = paul2520 💬 15:09, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's a known issue. When you use list-defined references with named notes, it throws that cite error. Various solutions include moving the notes into the body of the article (which I did to resolve the cite error), or changing the note format, or changing the ref format or removing the refs altogether from the note. Considering the overall small size of this article, moving them into the body of the article was the easiest solution. Thanks. Isaidnoway (talk) 16:35, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
