This title is about the saint. The article is about the basilica. The article reads as if it's a copyvio, but I can't find it. It needs to be rewritten. RickK 07:13, Mar 25, 2005 (UTC)

Rick, there is no saint by that name. This is solely the name of a church: Mary is the Virgin Mary, and Collemaggio is a placename within what is now the city of L'Aquila. Wikipedia, alas, has no consistent scheme for naming people or places (see for example the churches of Florence, some of whom have exceedingly common names preëmpting churches elsewhere that are in fact more important). The first step here is to rename this article, which I'm doing: except for the most famous places and churches of all, so universal as to be legitimately referred to in our own languages (i.e., Firenze, S. Pietro in Vaticano, in an English encyclopedia, are quite properly Florence, St. Peter's), places and churches customarily are named in their own native language.
As for the more important matter of the appearance of copyvio, I'll poke around. I've been here, and have materials of my own; and I read Italian and will be able to detect any online source it might be from. — Bill 12:29, 25 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Update on copyvio. Rick, your instincts were good. As the text now stands, it is essentially a translation, or a very close adaptation, of the Liceo Einstein's (excellent) page. I am now performing surgery on our article so as to keep the information yet not infringe copyright. — Bill 15:02, 25 Mar 2005 (UTC)
And in so doing, I wound up adding a fair amount of my own material. Thanks for the opportunity to work on this! Bill 17:28, 25 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Good work, Bill. RickK 21:04, Mar 25, 2005 (UTC)
